For many people, watching TV is part of their daily life.
The BBC has a site called the Genome project, where you can search for programmes and also browse back issues of Radio Times to find out what might have been on the TV on the day that you were born.
One of my favourite programmes is detectorists.
This excellent blog by Innes Keighren (who co-wrote a book on the series, published by uniformbooks) is well worth reading. It can be read on the RHUL blog.
