Oct 11: Everyday items are rising in price

Fuel prices are rising. This means that other items will increase in price inevitably as things need to be moved from where they are produced in almost all situations.

It seems that many items are becoming more expensive now and this is going forward into energy price rises. This is placing severe pressure on some people's finances, and the profitability of those companies that use large amounts of energy.

These everyday decisions that people make are increasingly important but many of us do not have those daily decisions about whether to 'heat or eat' etc.

This is going to be a difficult winter for many.

How are these stories and situations reflected in the geography curriculum?
