Sep 15: Geograph

I've been aware of Geograph since it began, and contributed some early images to 'claim' grid squares in and around the place where I was living and also teaching at the time. I added images of King's Lynn, Sandringham and the Norfolk coast. I featured it in a presentation at SAGT around 2005.

Geograph was set up to collect images in every one of the grid squares on the Ordnance Survey's maps and used their grid referencing system.

A supplementary aim was capturing the everyday, and as I've previously said, photography is for many an everyday activity, made possible by smartphones.
