June 2: Henri Lefebvre

It's worth finding out more about the philosopher Henri Lefebvre, and his critique of everyday life which he pioneered in the 1930s and continued for the next 50 years... he is linked with the work of Georges Perec.

Lefebvre defined everyday life dialectically as the intersection of "illusion and truth, power and helplessness; the intersection of the sector man controls and the sector he does not control"
