Every day, people exchange on a house, or move into a new property.
Some people may never be able to afford to do that, particularly some of the younger generation, as property prices have risen. They are forced to rent, although ironically rents are usually higher than monthly mortgage repayments for those who can raise the deposit... mortgage interest rates are very low - they have been in double figures previously.
Many people have looked to move out of London over the last year with the realisation that outside space, and a bit of breathing space is important to them.
