This map shows the location of a feature that we perhaps walk past most of the time: postboxes. These relate to yesterday's post on stamps.
The boxes on this map are in the city of Ely where I work. I also bumped into a postman emptying one a few months ago on the way to lunch and it turns out I taught him and his brother many years earlier in King's Lynn - small world!
If you follow the link and then enter your own postcode in the box top right, you will be able to generate a map of your own place of residence or work to see many of the red (or gold) treasures there are to find.
Mark Ollis shared the link to this map recently as he set himself a little challenge: to visit and photograph all the postboxes in his town.
This might make a useful little project for yourself, or for a group of people - which might include students.
Can they crowdsource images of all the post boxes in town? who can 'collect' the most and also provide a What 3 Words location for them?
