Jun 23: Wednesday by Tim Bird

For many people, their everyday experiences are tied closely with a particular football team. Some may have been a fan of a particulary football team for many years, and 'inherited' their affiliation from their parents.

They will follow the transfer news, read programmes of former matches, watch training sessions and chat endlessly over pints about the latest news and the last week's performance. The last match I saw in person was Peterborough vs Rotherham which was excellent entertainment.

I enjoyed the new Tim Bird comic called 'Wednesday' which charts a lifelong affiliation with one of the Sheffield teams, 'inherited' from familial affiliation.

Over the years, I've mostly supported Leeds United, having had the pleasure of seeing the team in their Revie era pomp, and also with Brian Clough and then other manages in charge. I also saw Huddersfield Town play when living there in the 1980s and saw many matches at Millmoor - watching Rotherham get promoted twice, and also play Arsenal in the FA Cup - as my 'home town' team. Since living in Norfolk I've also been exposed to a lot of Norwich related news.

Who is your team and how much do they form part of your personal identity?
