Apr 19: Object Lessons

Object Lessons is the name of a series of books, each of which focusses on a particular object. It is published by Bloomsbury.

I have about 8 of these books on topics relevant to our curriculum.

There is an accompanying website, where other essays are published, and there is an opportunity to suggest a title for another book in the series or contribute an essay to 'The Atlantic' (though that has been paused at the time of posting). These definitely fit with my quotidian theme, and perhaps even played a small part in influencing it, as they explore why these objects have become such a part of a lot of people's lives. Very often, we just assume something just is, and has always been like that, but there was 

There are certain items which we use every day, and these books are an excellent addition to the library for geographers.
