Many days are associated with Saints or other individuals, or events in history, or are defined in relation to events in history. Every day has some of these connections. Some of them are significant enough to become regular fixtures on the school calendar with work based around them e.g. World Aids Day, Remembrance Day and Children in Need Day.
Today is St. David's Day, celebrated by Welsh people all over the world, and a few weeks ago was St. Patrick's Day which similarly sparks global celebrations from those involved in the diaspora: the spread of people away from their home land.Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus
